This short version of the Danube Waltz was commissioned by the Stadtkapelle Liezen - Kapellmeister David Luidold | Obmann Michael Fr\u00f6hlich.<\/p>\n

Diese \u201eKompaktversion\u201c hat folgenden Ablauf:
\nOhne Einleitung wird bei Walzer 1 gestartet. Direkt nach dem Walzer 1 folgt ein da capo, bald danach ein Sprung in eine kurze Coda.<\/p>\n

The idea behind this short version is as follows:\nAt annual concerts of music clubs, the youth wind orchestra is also allowed to perform one or two numbers from time to time. On the one hand, this is a way of presenting the club's own young musicians, and on the other, it also brings new audiences (parents, grandparents) to the concert.<\/p>\n

For the kids, the performance should be one thing above all: a very motivating moment, because they get to play \u201cwith the grown-ups\u201d in the same concert. It can be even more motivating if the youth wind orchestra presents one or two of the main themes from the concert program of the \u201cgrown-ups\u201d in advance. In a simplified version, of course. The aim is for them to hear a fuller, longer version immediately afterwards. This should provide additional motivation to be able to play the whole piece in the \u201cbig band\u201d concert as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

This compact version for Flex-4 instrumentation can be optimally combined with the AND. 00064 edition (Danube Waltz 5-minute version) in a concert. The audience will love it, after all, the simple D major triad of the 1st waltz has probably made it into the \u201cHall of Fame\u201d of the most famous motifs in music history. They will hear this melody played once by the \u201clittle ones\u201d and then immediately afterwards by the \u201cgreats\u201d.
