Commissioned work by the MMK St. Stefan im Rosental, Kpm. Erich Perner
In the long-term, close collaboration with the MMK St. Stefan im Rosental, a large number of commissioned arrangements and compositions for symphonic wind orchestra were created. The commissioned compositions also included concert pieces such as Camelot or King Arthur, which were later also found on the compulsory piece list of the concert competitions of the ÖBV or BBMV.
I would like to express my deepest thanks to the then conductor and, above all, intensive supporter of my artistic activities, Erich Perner, who unfortunately left us far too early, for his great support over all these years.
This march valle rosarum (Rosental) was commissioned by Kapellmeister Erich Perner in 2010 on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the former head of the market town of St. Stefan im Rosental and honorary chairman of the MMK St. Stefan im Rosental. Due to his preference for Viennese music, the trio plays the main theme of the Kaiserwalzer by Johann Strauss. The march was re-orchestrated in 2017.
