Commissioned by the Styrian Brass Band Association on the occasion of the brass band pilgrimage to Mariazell in 2017. The composition owes its foundation to one component in particular:
The knowledge of the location of the premiere - Mariazell Basilica. The idea of ​​setting a scene from the Bible to music quickly came to mind: The snake tempts Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge. God banishes them both from paradise.

Musical interpretation: At the beginning you hear the snake approaching (percussion). Instructions: The 4 wind chimes should be arranged more or less in a circle around the orchestra (Dolby Surround). The alto flute expresses the temptation itself with its beguiling sound on the one hand, and the cunning of the snake on the other. The music describes the growing desire to do the forbidden. Even the last wall of steadfastness is torn down by the words of the snake, a solo trumpet and solo trombone now give Adam and Eve their voices. Both have long been delirious and can no longer be saved. God's punishment follows relentlessly. This is where the organ comes into play and makes the room shake with full register. Silence. All you hear is the snake, which retreats again after the deed is done.
