Description
The series of miniatures was composed on the one hand for various youth competitions and premiered by outstanding music students, and on the other hand it is a commissioned work for various festive occasions or anniversaries.
The variety of styles requested in the various calls for entries is reflected in the works selected for publication. The range of the "Miniatures" series extends from short pieces for solo instruments with piano accompaniment to compositions for mixed chamber music ensembles.
Miniature No. 19 "Maggy" was commissioned for a saxophone quartet by Dr. Wolfgang Jud and is ideal as a groovy interlude for various occasions.
