This version of the operetta was performed several times to great acclaim in 2014 as part of the Steyr Music Festival (Artistic Director: Karl-Michael Ebner, Director: Susanne Sommer, Conductor: Prof. Siegfried Andraschek). Harald Serafin, the long-time artistic director of Mörbisch, saw (…) something groundbreaking: (…) Serafin gave arranger Andraschek a standing ovation: “He arranged it in such a way that the music didn’t sound thin at all without strings.” On the contrary, Serafin noted “that this accompaniment gives the singers even more space to utilize with their voices.” (OÖ Nachrichten, July 28, 2014).
