Carnivale di Venezia

Vorliegende Kurzversion des Carnival di Venezia wurde im Auftrag der Stadtkapelle Liezen – Kapellmeister David Luidold | Obmann Michael Fröhlich erstellt.

The idea behind this short version is as follows: At annual concerts of music clubs, the youth wind orchestra is also allowed to perform one or two numbers from time to time. On the one hand, this is a way of presenting the club's own young musicians, and on the other, it also brings new audiences (parents, grandparents) to the concert.

For the kids, the performance should be one thing above all: a very motivating moment, because they get to play “with the grown-ups” in the same concert. It can be even more motivating if the youth wind orchestra presents one or two of the main themes from the concert program of the “grown-ups” in advance. In a simplified version, of course. The aim is for them to hear a fuller, longer version immediately afterwards. This should provide additional motivation to be able to play the whole piece in the “big band” concert as soon as possible.

Diese Kompaktversion für Flex-4 Besetzung lässt sich optimal u.a. mit der Künstler Quadrille von Johann Strauß Sohn in einem Konzert kombinieren. Dem Publikum wird es gefallen, schließlich hat es das simple Thema von Niccolo Paganini wohl in die „Hall of Fame“ der berühmtesten Motive der Musikgeschichte geschafft. So hören sie diese Melodie einmal von den „Kleinen“ und gleich danach von den „Großen“. Doppelt hält nunmal besser 😉
