Bad Radkersburg Suite
Commissioned by the Bad Radkersburg Music School, Dir. Alfred Ornig BA MA, as part of the ERASMUS+ | LJUBIMO GLASBO | WE LOVE MUSIC | WIR LIEBEN MUSIK project.
The suite with a total length of approx. 11 minutes consists of 4 parts, whereby after the fanfare at the beginning each of these sections describes not only the old town but also a special feature of the surrounding marvellous landscape.
1st fanfare
2nd Klapotetz waltz
3. tour through the old town
4. along the Mur in the UNSECO Biosphere Park
The original version was composed - in accordance with the commission - for youth wind orchestras at BJ level. The present version for brass 5-tet is also intended to expand the repertoire for music school ensemble concerts and youth competitions.
Info: The horn part can be replaced by a flugelhorn (or 3rd trumpet) if required, the trombone part can also be played with tenor horn/baritone.
