Description
This commissioned work places the flugelhorn at the centre of attention. For me, this instrument is the ‘chameleon’ among instruments due to its ability to mix colours. Based on the flugelhorn, a constantly ‘growing’ orchestra is created for the audience's ear and at the same time a play of colours is created by mixing it with other instrument groups. When performed well, this work makes the flugelhorn shine ‘golden’. At the end - just in case the composition leads into a furious final part. Cheers!
